The history of the Awards is also a history of freedom, discovered by talented young creators within the constraints of “little parts.”
This special archive brings together a curated selection of only the Grand Prix-winning works, and the creators’ innovative approaches and masterful use of materials evident in each piece speak more eloquently than words to the possibilities of a new kind of monozukuri.

Awards That Support
the Future of Fashion

YKK has been on a journey together with students for 25 years;
a total of 147,304 works have been submitted for YKK Fastening Awards consideration,
which have dealt sincerely with YKK fastening products and offered proposals bursting with creativity.
These students have poured their passion into each and every work and attempted to discover new possibilities,
and we offer our heartfelt respect and gratitude to them for coming with us.
Going forward, we will continue this journey to create new value and take on challenges alongside young creators,
who are pioneering the future of fashion.
